November: Club Competition
Late November - Early December: Junior National Championships, Seniors and Ladies National Finals and Grand Finals

Interclubs:
-
Individual competitions that are held by physie clubs between late July and late August each year.
-
Each year our club attends 3 interclubs and we try to make sure at least 2 of them are local to Sydney.
-
Competitors are on stage with other girls in their age group and they all perform the syllabus together but are judged individually.
Interclubs are the highlight of the year for many of our members because they are a fun way to showcase their new syllabus, see their friends from other physie clubs, and show off their sparkly leotards! Interclubs are completely optional but highly encouraged regardless of competitive aspirations. If competing seems a little too daunting, come along and watch! Show your support for our members as they bravely take the stage and introduce yourself to the competition atmosphere.
Entry into interclubs is charged by the hosting club and is approximately $15 per competitor.
Teams:
We work on teams progressively throughout the year. Members from the same club perform the syllabus on stage together and are judged based on synchronicity and collective skill. Teams is optional but highly encouraged. Members love the bonds they build amongst the team and there is a strong focus on supporting one another. Members work within their respective age groups to perform their syllabus, whilst highlighting unison and strong technique throughout the team.
Club Competition:

Club Competition is our annual in-house competition. It is run similarly to an interclub, but only members from Club 2000 compete. There are many fun awards up for grabs such as Fantastic Funny Fake Physie Face, and Phenomenal Physie Feet, as well as the highly coveted Overall Champion and Marching Champion trophies.

Individual Championships:
-
Junior Individual Championships is a Sydney zone competition usually held at Abbotsleigh Private Girls School. All competitors perform on stage twice (within the same day), and from the competitor pool a final is selected that will progress to the Junior National Championships at the ICC Sydney in late November/early December. Being selected for the Junior National Championships is very exciting for competitors, and many members strive all year to perform for the opportunity to qualify for Nationals!
-
For seniors (13s+) and ladies, Individual Championships IS the National Championships. Seniors and ladies take the stage, usually at the Concourse Chatswood, for the opportunity to be selected for the National Finals at the ICC Sydney. Qualifying for the seniors or Ladies National Final means you have performed in the top 14 of your section in the country!
Junior National Championships:
Junior Nationals is usually held on the last weekend of November or first weekend of December.
All the finalists from each zone in the country come together and perform for the opportunity to qualify for the National Final. Those who qualify for the National Final then perform again (on the same day) for the opportunity to receive a national place (1st-6th place in the country).
Senior/Ladies Championships:
Usually held on the last weekend of November or first weekend of December (the day after Junior Nationals).
The seniors and ladies that were selected for the national finals back at the National Championships come together once again on the ICC stage to compete for a national place (1st to 6th). For the 13s-intermediate seniors, placing in the national final is the highest award you can achieve in physie.
For the elite seniors and open ladies, the top 4 from each age category are selected to compete in the Grand Final where they can be awarded the Grand Champion, meaning they are the Grand Champion of the entire open elite or open ladies section for that given year. This is the highest award that an elite senior or open lady can achieve in physie, it's basically like being awarded the physie equivalent of an Olympic gold medal!

The Darling Weekend
We HIGHLY recommend all members and families make an effort to attend The Darling Weekend at the ICC. It is an amazing way to bring closure to the physie year while celebrating the achievements of hard working physie girls and ladies from all over the country. Many of our teaching team, committee and competitors choose to make a weekend of it by booking accomodation in Darling Harbour and all are welcome to book with us or make it a day trip!
